Baxian was established as part of a vision to deliver long-term, trusted solutions for families and businesses managing wealth, succession, and complex cross-border needs. Founded by David Chong – a pioneer in the family office space with over 40 years of experience – Baxian is part of one of Asia’s most respected independent corporate, trust, and family office groups.
From our base in Asia and presence in key financial centres, we support ultra-high-net-worth families with a full spectrum of services, including trust structuring, fund administration, business outsourcing, and digital banking. Our growth is built on integrity, regulatory discipline, and an enduring commitment to multi-generational wealth preservation.

Baxian specialises in trust, wealth management, and integrated business support services, tailored to the needs of high-net-worth families and enterprises. With offices in Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Forest City (Johor Bahru), we combine regional insight with cross-border capabilities to help clients protect and grow their wealth with confidence.
Baxian is part of the group of companies known as the “Portcullis Group” that carry on business under the brand name “Baxian” in Malaysia and “Portcullis” outside of Malaysia.
Portcullis Group is one of the largest Asian independent trust, fund, family office and corporate service providers. In addition to the offices in Malaysia, the Portcullis Group has offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, the BVI, Samoa and the Cook Islands. In addition to the trust and corporate service provider licenses it holds in these offices (except Taipei), it also maintains licenses in the Cayman Islands and Seychelles for corporate services.

Baxian Malaysia primarily provides a range of business support services to entities across the Group, covering compliance, corporate secretarial, trust support, data administration, accounting and book-keeping, amongst others.
We are also stepping forward – expanding into front-facing services such as company incorporation and full setup solutions in Forest City Malaysia.

Baxian Malaysia is proud to be among the pioneers establishing a family office presence in Forest City. In close collaboration with the Securities Commission Malaysia (“SC”), we had the privilege of contributing to the development of the Forest City Single Family Office Tax Incentive Scheme.
By identifying early challenges and helping refine critical aspects of the framework, we gained invaluable firsthand insight into this transformative initiative. Baxian Trust (Labuan) Ltd is a licensed trust company authorised to provide trustee and corporate services in Labuan. It is regulated by the Labuan Financial Services Authority
We offer family office services from our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, British Virgin Islands, Cook Islands, Cayman Islands, Samoa and Labuan.
We provide trust, corporate secretarial services and fund services through our experienced team of legal and administrative professionals and work closely with other Portcullis Group offices in various jurisdictions.
